Mount Ulap: Gungal Rock + Traverse to Brgy Sta Fe

Mount Ulap

I know blogging Mount Ulap is not a new thing for everyone, but I believe that each experience is different and unique! I and friends actually planned this climb in line for the upcoming long weekend because of the Asean Summit. And what makes me more excited about this long weekend is that a day after Mt. Ulap is we are going to climb Mt. Pulag.

Mount Ulap is less than 45 minutes from Baguio City, so for everyone who is having a second thought of visiting Mount Ulap Please do not!

Pine and grassland with great views of the mountains. I would say Mt. Ulap in Itogon Benguet is perfect for a day hike from the City of Baguio. But if you wish to go camping for an overnight stay it would be nice also for you to feel the coldness this mountain can give you.

Before getting excited please do not forget to drop by at the Brgy hall for registration and secure your guide (required). There are 3 peaks in Mt. Ulap. First is Ambanao Peak where we welcomed with pine trees and occasional crows. The Gungal rock which is known for the big Gungal Rock where photo taking is a must. And lastly, is Mt. Ulap with a height of 1,846masl.
